While catching up on the interwebs over a cup of tea this morning, I found this lovely contest via Maggie Stiefvater (and Maggie’s book, Lament: The Faerie Queen’s Deception is in one of the prize packs, so hurry on over…)

Brooke Taylor over at Brooke Taylor Books is a having a Monster Month of Giveaways Faerie Week!

The deadline is October 30th, and it’s very easy to enter – just comment on her post and answer these two easy questions:

1. In the spirit of How to Ditch Your Fairy (featured in Prize Pack #2!!!)–If you could have a personal fairy, what would their special powers be? (For instance in Justine’s book the MC has a Parking Fairy who makes sure she gets the very best parking spots)

2. Tell me about something that has happened that you believe to be the work (or mischief) of faeries.

Rumplestiltskin Contest at Mermade Baubles

Jennifer Chernoff over at Mermade Baubles has posted a ‘Rumplestiltskin Contest‘ over on her blog.

These last few weeks have left little time for making jewelry. I have decided to have a contest to give away a necklace! I am calling this my Rumpelstiltskin contest. If you can guess the name of my friend in the 3rd grade, I will send this to you. There have been so many guesses, and still no one has gotten it! I have not found this friend online, so looking up my facebook account will not help you. Comment here if you want to guess names – 20 names per day please.
